ocularist is the project of teenage artists olti krasniqi (b. 14/04/2009, reading) and marcus keeton (b. 12/12/2006, sheffield), who met in 2020. ocularist began shortly after they met in 2020 after they realised they shared a lot in common when it came to musical interests. both were super into artists like aphex twin and squarepusher, and were both producing noise music at the time. in the summer of 2021, the first ocularist album was produced, known as 'manifest the biennale'. due to its poor production, this album would not release for another two years.

later on, through october 2021 to april 2022, the debut ocularist album was produced, later known as 'untitled'. it released on emcd in may of 2022 along with a limited cdr run.
